The 2025 MLB Playoffs will once again begin with 12 teams qualifying for the postseason. The top two division winners in the American and National leagues will receive first-round byes into the Division Series, while the 3rd to 6th place finishers in each league will play in best-of-three Wild Card series. The winners will advance to the Division Series, which will be best-of-five games, followed by the League Championship Series and World Series, both of which are best-of-seven. The World Series is expected to begin on October 24th.
