How To Bet On The 2021 Rose Bowl from Canada

By Football

The Rose Bowl (wiki site) is the oldest and often considered the most prestigious of the Bowl Games.  The game is one of the College Football Playoff semi-finals this year, with #1 ranked Alabama battling #4 ranked Notre Dame for the right to advance to the National Championship game.

This years game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, rather than the normal location of Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California due to governor orders prohibiting spectators at sporting events in California. The 2021 Rose Bowl is scheduled to take place on January 1st, 2021 with kick-off scheduled for 4pm EST.

The Alabama Crimson Tide (11-0) are the SEC Champions and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (10-1) finished as runner-ups to Clemson after losing the ACC Championship game.

College football is a religion in the United States, and even though it doesn’t have quite as popular of a following north of the border, the college football bowl games are still popular games to bet on here in Canada.  For that reason, I wanted to put together this simple 3 step guide for any Canadians interested in betting on the Rose Bowl on New Years Day.

Rose Bowl Odds

Here is a screenshot of the current odds for the Rose Bowl from (odds taken on December 21st):

As you can see Alabama is a huge 19.5 point favorite heading into the game. Alabama deserves to be a significant favourite in this game, but I was surprised to see they were almost 20 point favourites against another elite team in the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame did not look good in their 34-10 loss to Clemson in the ACC Championship game, so that might likely factored into the spread being this wide.
