How To Bet On The 2020 Masters From Canada

By Golf

The Masters is the most prestigious golf tournament of the year.  There are four majors on the PGA Tour, but if you asked any player I suspect they would tell you The Masters is the tournament they would most want to win.  The Masters are set to take place from November 12th to November 15th this year after being postponed from the regularly scheduled tournament date in mid-April. With Tiger Woods as the defending champion and most other major US sports in between seasons I expect a massive amount of media attention to be focused on Augusta National Golf Club over the weekend.

The Masters is the only major that takes place at the same course every year and because of this you have a ton of information from which to pick what players you think will succeed and make some winning bets. That said, with the tournament normally taking place in April it is possible that the course will play differently at this years edition of the tournament.

On this page I will look at the current outright winner odds for the Masters, recommend a betting site for Canadians and give a quick 3 step guide to help you get your bets in on The Masters this year.

Tournament Winner Odds

Bryson DeChambeau is the favourite heading into the tournament, coming off his US Open win at Winged Foot two months ago. DeChambeau has added a lot of length this year and there are many who think he could overpower Augusta National this year. Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, and Xander Schauffele are the other familiar top contenders, each with odds of 14/1 or better entering the tournament.

Tiger Woods is the defending champion, but you have to look a little further down the odds to find him at 29/1 at heading into the tournament. Tiger has not played his best golf this year, but he has the ability to step up his game and obviously enjoys playing at Augusta, as evidence by his five career green jackets.

My favourite play this week is Rory McIlroy. He’s still looking for that elusive win at The Masters to finish off his career Grand Slam. That said, he’s had a lot of success at the Masters Tournament finishing in the top 10 five straight tournaments between 2014 and 2018 before finishing T21 last year. He’s played solid golf over the last few months, but hasn’t really been in the hunt for a win, so I think he’s flying somewhat under the radar. I also believe he has as much distance as DeChambeau to try to shorten this course and give himself plenty of chances for birdies.

You can also bet on a wide range of other Masters props such as head to head match-ups, group betting, over/under on scores, and more at Sports Interaction.

Here’s an example where you can bet on the best finisher of Group A, which includes the five tournament favourites:
