The 2020 Belmont Stakes will look a lot different than the traditional race. This years Belmont Stakes will be the first race of the American Triple Crown and it will be run at a distance of 1 1/8 miles (9 furlongs). Typically the Belmont Stakes is the third and final race of the Triple Crown and run at a distance of 1 1/2 miles (12 furlongs). These changes came into effect because the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes have been postponed to September and October, respectively.
With the Belmont Stakes kicking off this years Triple Crown, I expect the media hype and betting action that typically accompanies the Kentucky Derby to apply to this years Belmont.
On this page you will find our top rated betting site for Canadians, the early betting odds for the race, and a simple 3 step guide to getting your Belmont Stakes bets placed online.

Belmont Stakes Winner Odds
Here’s a screenshot of the 2020 Belmont Stakes odds from SportsInteraction.com. These odds are from June 19th, the night before the race, and I think they are more accurate than the morning line odds. The odds could still change leading up to post time at 5:42pm EST on race day. To see the up to date odds you should go to SIA and select ‘Horse Racing’ -> ‘Belmont Stakes’ in the left sidebar of the sportsbook.
**On race day you will be able to wager on the race from the ‘Racebook’ section of the Sports Interaction website by selecting ‘Belmont Park’ under the ‘American Thoroughbred’ header.
The oddsmakers expect Tiz the Law to win this race. He has odds of 1.69, which indicates he’s expected to win this race more often than not. That said, there is a lot of unknowns surrounding many horses in this field, so we could be surprised on Belmont Stakes Day.
