The WBO heavyweight title is on the line this Saturday, October 17th when Daniel Dubois defends his belt against Fabio Wardley in a rematch at The O2 Arena in London. The fight is promoted by Queensberry and will stream live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.
Their first fight in May at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester was one of the best heavyweight fights of the year. Wardley dropped Dubois inside the opening 10 seconds and had him in trouble again in the third round, but Dubois took over in the second half of the fight. Wardley was bleeding heavily from the nose with his right eye nearly swollen shut when referee Howard Foster stopped the bout at the start of the 11th round, handing Dubois the WBO title and his second reign as a world heavyweight champion.
Daniel Dubois is 28 years old and holds a 23-3 professional record with 22 wins by knockout. The former IBF champion is best known for his fifth round knockout of Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in 2024, and the win over Wardley put him back on top after his loss to Oleksandr Usyk in July 2025.
Fabio Wardley is 31 years old and fights out of Ipswich. He holds a 20-1-1 record with 19 wins inside the distance, and the loss to Dubois is the only defeat of his professional career. Wardley earned his title shot the hard way, stopping Joseph Parker in the 11th round at The O2 in October 2025 before being elevated to full WBO champion when Usyk vacated the belt. He activated the rematch clause from the first fight to set up this return bout.
