The 2026 National Lacrosse League season is underway. The season will run from November 28th, 2025 and finish in the spring of 2026. Each team will play 18 games, followed by the playoffs.
Lacrosse is the national summer sport of Canada and the popularity of lacrosse in Canada shines through in the NLL with 7 of the 14 NLL teams being located in Canada (and 2 teams in northern New York). The Canadian NLL teams include the Calgary Roughnecks, Halifax Thunderbirds, Ottawa Black Bears, Saskatchewan Rush, Toronto Rock, Vancouver Warriors, and the Oshawa FireWolves who relocated from Albany for this season.

2025 National Lacrosse League Winner Odds

These odds are from after week 1, which had 8 of the 14 teams in action. The odds will change as the season progresses and teams earn wins and losses. NLL Game Betting Markets
There are three bet types that take the majority of action on National Lacrosse League games. Those include the money line (to win), total, and spread. Below I’ll look at a game from this season between the Calgary Roughnecks and Saskatchewan Rush to explain these three popular NLL betting markets (odds below for the week 2 game taken on December 4th).
Money Line (To Win)
The money line is simply a bet on which team will win the game. The odds determine the risk vs reward of the bet.
In the above example the Saskatchewan Rush are the favourites with odds of -200. This means you would have to risk $200 to win $100 (payout of $300) betting on the Rush to win the game. The Calgary Roughnecks are the underdogs with odds of +160 meaning a $100 bet would win $160 (payout $260).
Total
The total is a bet on the number of goals scored in the game by both teams combined. The oddsmaker will set a total and you can bet on if the number of goals scored in the game will be over or under this amount.
In the above example the total is set at 21.5 goals. If 22 or more goals are scored the over bets would win, and if 21 or fewer goals are scored the under bets would win.
Spread
The spread is meant to make the game odds closer to even between the two teams. The favourite would have to win by more goals than the spread amount, while the underdog would have to either win the game outright or lose by fewer goals than the spread amount.
In the above example Saskatchewan is a -1.5 goal favourite. Spread bets on the Rush would win if they win the game by 2 or more goals. Calgary is a +1.5 goal underdog. Spread bets on Calgary would win if they win the game outright or lose by 1 goal.
